What are organic products?
The term “organic products or food” refers to foods produced by organic and / or organic production methods and processes and produced according to the requirements of the EU regulation. 2092/91. Organic products are produced through a crop in which the use of any chemical pesticide-fertilizer and hormone is strictly forbidden. This form of organic farming – agriculture and livestock farming – is based on natural rather than chemical processes, commonly used to treat diseases and microorganisms.
How they are produced
Organic farming – livestock farming is a mild method of producing food. For plant cultivation it is forbidden to use synthetic-chemical fertilizers and insecticides, hormones, etc. while natural materials such as minerals, plant debris and manure are being used. The organic production method takes care to maintain and increase soil fertility by adopting a range of techniques such as crop rotation, fallowing, greasy fertilization, livestock manure or other organic materials.
